Default "Still waiting for root device" while boot from dvd

EDIT: posted at wrong place, someone can move to "Installation" pls?

I'm trying to install Mac osx 10.5.6 (don't know the name of the distro, ISO is called XxX_10.5.6_Leo_Install_Disc). When i boot from DVD i always get the error "still waiting for root device".

    Some specs:
    CPU: Amd 3800+ single core
    Mainboard: Asus A8N-E
    GPU: Nvidia7900GT TOP

I already searched but the topics are always about this error after installation.
already tried to boot with -v, -x, cpus=1, and combinations from these.
Tried with IDE and SATA DVD reader, but same problem.

    error screen: click

EDIT: posted at wrong place, someone can move to "Installation" pls?

Try with an external USB DVD drive; that's what it took on my AMD machine to get the thing going. Alternatively, try a different distribution (Leo4All, although older, is a good choice for AMD machines).

Try with this flag rd=disk0s1 or try with another distro, maybe iatkos v7 or iPC, good luck

rd= This parameter state what is the boot disk to use (instead of using the boot menu appearing before the prompt) you state the drive and partition in here: diskXsY where X stands for the disk number (first disk, usually primary master in IDE or SATA) 0 second disk is 1 etc.) and Y stands for the partition on that disk starting with 1 as the first partition.

Ex: rd=disk0s1 If you have one disk and one partition the parameter will look like this.
