Please help choose a distro for me...

Intel Core 2 Quad 9550, 266 Mhz (Yorkfield) 2.83 Ghz
4GB 800Mhz Ram
nVidia nForce 650i SLI (nForce 430i MCP51)
nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512mb
Realtek ALC888
Netgear GA311
750G Sata x2
Liteon Blu-ray Sata GGW-H20L
Dvd +- RW Sata (DH-16A6S)


I have tried iPC 10.5.6 Final with all 5 patches. This loads fine but no sata dvd read or burn. Transferring large files from drive to drive causing the machine to freeze. Using medevils kext, the computer freezes randomly.

I can't get any other distro to boot...says waiting on boot device. If anyone has any suggestions, please advise. Thank you.
