iDeneb on Acer Aspire 5315
Newbie Warning!
Okay so I've been told that my best bet for the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop is the latest version of iDeneb. This info comes from a colleague that has a lot of experience with OS X on PCs.
However, I've been reading this and that all over the internet, and I'm getting conflicting stories. Anything from Leo4All to the old Kalyway 10.5.2.
The most solid lead I have is from the wiki at OSx86 project. The post describes in very flimsy terms how he/she used iPC 10.5.6 with patches. There is no mention of what patches are necessary and I'm not all that sure what I'd need or where to get them, much less how to apply them to the ISO. I'm assuming I'd just find the how-to info on the googlewebz. But all the other stuff I'm at a loss for.
Can anyone offer any thoughts on what distribution I should start with? The general (or detailed if you're feeling giving) process of how-to? Maybe just tell me it's not worth it and give up?
I can't take Windows anymore :(
sorry for posting in a old thread
But i didn't want to create a new one as there was already one with my problem.
So i got a acer aspire 5315, and i got it to install but it won't detect the keyboard and the touchpad. Im using Ideneb 10.5.8 lite edition and well it works but i can't go online, no sound and the keyboard and touchpad don't work. I have to use a mouse and a keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
