Hi, wich distribution is working fine on an Acer Aspire One A150. I read several thread, but still have doubt. Which one fix the Wifi problem ?.
hey! i just got my AOA150 up last night and heres what i found works best...
(Meaning everything execpt WiFi and jmicron SD card reader)
i used the iDeneb v 1.4 (10.5.6) when it came to installing, i selected ONLY the ideneb essentials
under utilities you will find osx86tools
and under "netbooks" i selected
acer aspire one
install it!
now after it reboots....
****VERY IMPORTANT*******
start it in safe boot by adding a -x flag to the boot screen
now just google for a GMA950 .kext in a .pkg format and put it on a flash drive. put it in the AOA150 and run it.
now go to finder>applications> iDeneb app>osx86 tools
run it.
enable quartz GL
restart when it asks (AGAIN with the -x for safe boot)
now run that tool again and do repair\fix permissions. restart again. if it asks to fix somthing let it do it.
you should no longer need to restart in safe boot
now i have found that for whatever reason, my AOA150 takes FOREVER to boot, but it does boot (after what seems like 10 minutes) and works great there after!!!
let me know how you make out with this install!
GOOD LUCK!!!
I got iDeneb 1.5.1 to install properly just selecting the Aspire One netbook option as well but I have a wierd problem where half way through the boot process the keyboard starts flooding the system with 7's and there is no way to get it to stop. It will load in to the OS just fine but pretty much makes it inoperable because you can't type anything without getting a bunch of 7's to flood the box you are typing in.....
