Core i5 M450 & VirtualBox 3.2.8... Which Distribution?
I have been on a project trying to get this up and running for a couple of days now. I've had mixed results.
My system is a Gateway Notebook (NV79c47u)
Intel Core i5 M450
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 (1gb vram)
Windows 7 x64 host
"iDeneb_v1.6_1058_Lite_Edition" works, but I need to have Snow Leopard 10.6.3 or 10.6.4 running as I am a web designer/developer. I need to be able to quickly test designs and other development in a Mac OS environment occasionally.
With "Snow_Leopard_Client_Server_10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel _AMD_by_Hazard", I am unable to get the correct combination of options with which to get this up and running properly.
My question is this:
Which distribution should I use? :spinme I know as of 10.6.2, Mac OS X supports Core i5 processors. I just need to find the best distro for my purposes or just go out and buy the retail disc of 10.6.4. I do have the combo update to 10.6.4 from Apple, so I don't mind using a slightly older build of a distro as long as it works and I can update it without it breaking the VM.
It also seems to me that getting it up and running in virtualbox would be easier than trying to make it work in a dual boot situation on my laptop, now that VirtualBox has OS X guest support...
