Pavilion dv6-1100so - iAtkos, Kalyway, iDeneb
Greetings.
I've been struggling around trying to get Leopard working on my laptop, i even tried the 3 mentioned distros, however, each distro encounters a different problem i can't pass.
At first, i tried iDeneb - the installation went smooth, but when i booted the system, i had the "infinite do you own another mac" loop. I found some posts on how to fix it, however one of the commands needer (passwd) returned "Command not found."
Secondly, i tried the Kalyway distro, which is a short story - it wouldn't boot nomatter what i tried.
And at last, i tried iAtkos, here the installation went fine as well, but when the system should boot, it just skipped to my Windows7 bootloader instead of booting Leopard.
Those are my specs:
Code:
Microprocessor: 2.2 Ghz AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-75
Memory: 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB)
Memory Max: Up to 8 GB DDR2 memory
Video Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530
Video Memory: Up to 1790 MB
Hard Drive: 320 GB SATA (5400 rpm)
Multimedia Drive: Lightscribe Super Multi DVD Writer (+/-R +/-RW) with
Network Card: Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN
Wireless Connectivity: 802.11b/g WLAN
Sound: 3D Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound 16 bit integrated
Audio Playback SRS Premium Sound
Is it just me who's too much of a noob to install the distro, or is it my hardware that's causing trouble? If not, what distro would fit this spec?
