Default os x tiger on eee 900

ok, i searched for about a week now, and still don't have any clue about what i need. i'm using an eee 900 and i'm planning to install os x on my portable hard drive (i made a partition of 50 gigabytes on my portable disk for it, should be enough i think). however, every tutorial says something completely different. i'm downloading asus update at this moment so i can get the newest bios, but what distro do i need? iatkos/ideneb/jas? found tutorials for all of those, but i really need some help with choosing...
also, does someone know if either of the distros already has working wifi support?

    thanks in advance!

Default Portable drive not really a good idea

You'll create bootsector problems doing a portable drive install. You would be better off doing a two way permanent hard drive install by shrinking a partition to allow room and then using the portable as data and back up space. IPC 10.5.6 ppf 4 or 5 seems to be a complete one that has good compatibility. You do not give much in the way of details about the planned machine you are going to use - so visit HCL 10.5.6 - OSx86 to see issues of installs.

If you use a portable drive - don't expect too much easy fast help if problems arise - and after all this support is free only for those who want to take time to answer a question. if you dig yourself in deep with a big problem - expect silence or guess work only.

    Default

i didn't give much info because the eee 900 is a pretty well known system, i thought well, here is one tutorial i found for the eee: eeepc-osx - Tiger_Install . i want to put it on a portable harddisk only to test if it will work on my eee at all, before i'm putting it on my normal disks. there are 2 solid state disks in my eee: one of 4 gb, wich has the xp installation atm, and wich i want to keep for the moment being; the other one is 16gb, wich holds my data and program files at this moment. if i could manage to shrink that one, i might be able to install it there, but i first want to be sure that os x will work properly enough...
i want to install tiger on it because the eee 900 is a netbook with only 1 gb Ram memory and an atom 900 mhz processor.
but why would i create bootsector problems with a portable harddisk? what's the difference? i can understand that it won't be as fast, because usb will never be as fast as sata, but it's only for testing, like i said.
    thanks already!

edit: i'm now downloading the ipc 1.5.6 live dvd, so i'm gonna try to put that one on my portable drive to see if it works.

    Default Tiger was 10.4

You keep talking about Tiger. Tiger was 10.4 and a lot of things have happened since then.

Visit HCL 10.5.6/ - OSx86 for hardware stuff as to Leopard 10.5.6

Do what you want as to trying a boot setup - I told you what I think, and I am UNIX engineer, but I am not here to teach.

Maybe things in the computer world will work different for you - best of luck - I am done and I am out.
