Question Need help, which distro should I use ?

I hate to do this thread, I wish I didn't have to >_<

Anyway, I've been lurking around here for some time, I've read stuff, and I already tried 3 different distros, but none worked.

    There are my specs :

    Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz
    2GB RAM
    NVidia GeForce 7200GS
    Motherboard ASUS P5LD2-X

I have 2 HDs, I'm trying to install the distro on my 40GB IDE one. Don't care about dual boot, really.

I've tried 3 distros, iPC (installed ok but didn't want to boot), ideneb (same as iPC) and JaS OSX (Installed ok, but locked up on the "loading for the first time" screen).

I tried numerous combinations of kexts, and I actually got one of these to work after NOT using the kexts for my video card. But then, the screen would be buggy as hell and it seemed like it wasn't "refreshing" it.

    So, anyway, help ? >_<

    Thanks in advance !

    edit :

One more question, regarding the forums ; after I registered, all the threads are upside down. I mean, when I enter a thread, the last post is shown first. How do I change this ? Thanks !

    Thanks for the reply !

Yeah, I did, I got to this intro screen animation thing, after that there was some registration info thing, after that it started loading but then it froze.

    edit :

Actually, I think I used only the -v command, what does the cpus=1 do?

Does it make the OS X work using only 1 core ? could that be the problem ? o.O

    I'm gonna try that then..
