Leopard on Toshiba Laptop?
I've been having some issues with my laptop, the keyboard/touchpad only works in bios and startup menu, however when it boots to vista it doesn't work. I've decided to convert it to mac.
I can't remember the model number. I got it from the software somehow. The sticker has nothing on the bottom.
I know it has a Pentium 3 or 4, I'm thinking 4 since it has HT. Its 3.20Ghz
1GB of ram, its maximum
40 or 80gb hard drive
ATi Radeon 9100.
It doesnt have firewire.
I tried booting the iAtkos v5i disk I have, no luck. It will boot the disk but it does the apple thing with the spinning loading thingy.
I cannot log into my windows account to get any more information from it.
I'm sorta thinking it will work if I format the disk to mac format, but I have to find a bootable backup solution.
I'm not sure what distribution will be best? Thanks again. my HP Pavillion is running great, been using Mac on it ever since. I may switch to retail, but I'm waiting to see if Snow Leopard gets done so PC users can use it, too.
forgot to mention that it did not come with Vista, originally ran XP.
I used a stripped down version of Vista Basic on it.
