Install failure with two different distros.. looking for ideas..
I've made a run at installing two different distributions onto my system so far. Neither of which have been successful. The ISOs burn and the resulting DVD boots without problems. I get to the system utilities and it runs through the "Install" process.
iDeneb v1.5 (10.5.5): Install process completes successfully, but when I attempt to boot to it, I get the apple logo, with the spiny 'daisy'... after a few minutes I get a "circle with line through it" in a box over the apple.
Kalaway Leo 10.5.1: Install process says "failed to complete". When I attempt to boot from the hard drive, I get an error message that says "b0 Error."
I can reinstall GRUB with the Ubuntu Live CD, so the failure is not a problem for me.. I can still get back to my Windows and Linux installations.
Here are my system specs:
System: Dell Latitude E6500
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 - 2.66GHz, 6M L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB
RAM: 4GB (DDR2-800 SDRAM 2 DIMMs)
Hard Drive: Seagate 250GB 7200RPM SATA
Optical: TSST 8x DVD+/-RW
Video: NVidia Quadro NVS 160M
Audio: IDT High Def Audio (92HDxx)
LAN: Intel 82567 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
WLAN: Dell Wireless 1397 802.11(b/g) (Broadcom)
I JUST got this system, and I'm thinking that this is part of my problem. It's entirely possible that my system is just TOO NEW and the distros can't account for the system's specific nuances. However... any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply...
At what point do i type cpus=1 -v? Do I open a terminal window, type it, back out, and proceed with the install? Also, what does that do for me?
I see iDeneb v1.4 is out. I may try giving that a go. I was mistaken before. I have v1.3.
I think I'll have trouble with the Triple boot, unless there are some known issues using the Grub boot loader. I'm fairly comfortable configuring that.
For any of these questions, if there are threads that you know of, just C/P them into a reply, and I'll go read them. Haven't fully explored the site yet to know where everything is.
Thanks!
