I have tried every install disk I could find of mac osx, and every time I try to install i open up disk utility and try to format my hard disk to find out that my hard drive does not show up on any distro of osx. I have no clue which version to use for my laptop and which one to fix these problems. Can you please point me in the right direction ?
Installing Ideneb V1.3 10.5.5
I am a completely new guy in this, a layman, and trying to install iDeneb on my HP Pavilion dv5000.
I have dedicated one partition of 60GB for this, dual booting with Windows 7. After patching the iDeneb iso with nForce patch, I do get my hard drive ( both internal and USB). The installation is also completed, but then the laptop will not boot in iDeneb. I selected many a different combination of fixes, patches and kernels but with no result.
Seen a lot of stuff around in forums for installation, but as i am a complete novice, did not understand much.
I do not have much options in BIOS where I can change any settings, except to enable/disable SATA support.
I have always been fascinated by Mac and would very much love to have it working on my Laptop.
I have ethernet, wi-fi, bluetooth, card readers built-in in my laptop with a Intel Core Duo 1.73 GHz processor, HP Motherboard, nVidia display and DVD writer.
Can anyone suggest best distro for me and help me install it on my Laptop.
Thanks in advance.
