    Default HP 8510w

I have a HP 8510w and I downloaded the iDeneb 1.4 (OS 10.5.6). It installs just fine but it doesn't boot into Mac. It keeps saying something about root device. Anyways, I remember that I was able to boot into Mac when I used Kalyway 10.5.2. I was just wondering if any of you guys had any success with this laptop? What customization options should I pick when I install the iDeneb version again? I think its the chipset thats the problem. Thanks in advance...

well I got somewhat far, I enabled SATA native mode thingie in the bios and it got past the root problem (although it made my Windows 7 BSOD but not my vista partition). now it says "no network interfaces, could not update platform uuid". it stays there for like 2-3 mins then the whole screen goes blank. it stays blank for a while and it never changed. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

Really? cuz I think there is something for my video card but that's besides the point. Do you think you can tell me which distro to use and what options? It's the custimization thing that is killing me. I just want to get into the mac desktop so I can install kexts for the other drivers. I was also wondering if the SATA Native Mode in the bios has anything to do with anything because when I installed 10.5.6 (iDeneb) and disabled it, I get stuck on a waiting for root device but when I disable it, I get "no network interfaces, could not update platform uuid".
    Thanks for the help.
