newbie question: what are efi strings?
I am away from that computer this week, so I can't recall the exact LAN chipset except that it is from Realtek.

    Side question: could you please look at this offer here:ASUS P6T Intel X58 Barebone Kit - Socket LGA1366, Intel Core i7 920, 12GB Corsair DDR3-1600, 1.5TB SATA2, Clear Side ATX Mid-Tower, 750W ASUS P6T w Core i7 920 & 12GB Corsair DDR3-1600 in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
Do you think there is a good chance this thing could be turned into a hackintosh?

All the best and many thanks for your help so far!

I still don't know what EFI strings are (sounds to me like some kind of driver code to make the MacOS X detect the respective hardware, but this seemed useful to me for sharing with those of you who understand more: GFXUtil News & Announcements (v0.71b)
It is a GUI to load strings. Saves some time I guess.
