I really have no clue what kexts i would need to get sound working as the only info i have about mine is that its hardon kardmon speakers. The voodoo audio kexts i installed doesnt work. I also tried nvinjector to get the resolutions working but that didnt do anything either. Any ideas at what kexts i should try? its a GeForce 230M graphics card with 1gig vram. Thanks.
    Hi,
You can try other injection methods for that NV.
ATI ATY_init is one of them. More info at netkas.org.
    The other one is EFIStudio.
    Good luck.

ok so i was able to finally get hazards SL installed and boot up. I got gpx working and it runs fine except for sound or internet (wired of course). I tried the voodoo package for sound but that one doesnt work and i tried the realtek 8169 and the R1000 but neither have worked. any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Good to hear that.
What version is that hazard, v3.6 or the server?
Maybe you can search for it with device ID?

yea hazard 10.6.2, not the server. How would i find the device id for my lan? the only info i can find on it is that its a realtek. no idea about sound card. Also is there a way to be able to run it with 2 cores because the only way to get it to boot is to disable the second core.

    Hi,
Go to System Profiler under Utility, there it will list all your hardwares that OSX recognizes.
Check your graphics/display to make sure you get QE/CI supported.
I think there is a fix for that cpu=1 with a kext.
Go to kexts.com for additional kexts for your hardware, along with kext helper b7 for installer.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,

ok so then if profiler doesnt detect them does it mean they dont work?

Also i am having usb issues. My usb mouse/keyboard will initially work but i cant get it to detect my iphone or anything else. I tried IOUSBfamily.kext or whatever its called and that just killed my usb completely. any suggestions? thanks so much for your help.

It means that OSX doesn't see your hardware there, whether it's kexts or the list reported to it.
You can try disable USB keyboard/mouse in BIOS, disable legacy USB see what happens.
I think there also have kexts for USB fix on that web site.
    Cheers,

could you please help me find the realtek 8136 kext? I think this is the one that would work but i cant find it anywhere. Im pretty sure it exists because it is in the list of customizable options when installing, though if i choose it there it always hangs at the "Is this your first mac" (or something like that where it asks you to transfer your data) screen when you first boot up after install. I want to add it manually but no luck in finding it, all i ever see is the 8139 which doesnt work. Also would/should it work if i just download the drivers from realteks site or does it need to be specially compiled to work on a hackintosh? Thanks.

    Hi,
If realtek has it and it is for Mac then you can use it.
If it is in your DVD then just pop it in, just like to do an installation, then only select that driver and nothing else, it will install for you.

The best way to go through those first questions is to disable your Lan and wifi (even you load drivers/kexts for it), then OSX can't complain at all because it thought that you don't have any network

    Hope this help.
    Regards,
