I hope I can offer what I learned so far on my hackintosh build on this simular notebook. I installed a retail DVD 10.6.0 + update 10.6.6 on Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q705. Only thin I changed was CPU, WiFi, keyboard and RAM. i have the Core 2 Quad Extreme QX9300, a backlit russian / english keyboard from a Toshiba Satellite A500/A505 and an OEM Intel WIMAX Wifi Link 5350.

I installed vanilla with iBoot CD and nothing else and most things work so far and I am learning as I go. I have sound, flash in SAfari & Firefox, even my volume dial on side of notebook workes and this is driver supported so that's cool. My touchpad works but no tap function yet. I have no wifi, only LAN, and no onboard Bluetooth, only external USB Bluetooth for my Microsoft 8000 mouse. No card reader yet.

Can we get others to come to this tread to help one another with simular laptop components? Lots of laptops share common oem parts so drivers are often shared.

    Tosh
