Thank you.
It's 3 AM here. I need some rest
I love Spanish and would love to learn, but just too busy for now, maybe later
Yes, keep trying. You will get it soon.

Cheers,
I do not understand about slots and connectors. I just cannot handle hardware!
but well, ok, I switched something (maybe a connector) on the motherboard.
and then, changed the settings to AHCI. tried to boot with the iDeneb DVD...
there is NO way to boot from the DVD in AHCI (again)...
as I am stubborn, changet it to IDE...
IT BOOTED!!!
from the DVD and recognised the HDD (the 320GB - as switched)
I selected the 100GB partition and I kept on with the installation
and it finished!!!
but then...
in fact, if I change back to IDE instead of AHCI the bootloader lets me boot in windooze XP (as now)
I dunno, I will try again but, ¿can anyone tell me what is wrong?
¿can anyone help me?
¿would it be something from the customization process?
many thanks in advance
Hi there,
Good job
At least it recognized your hard drive and finish the installation.
Keep your BIOS at whatever setting to make it through first.
That KP could be from your selections of customization.
AMD can not run vanilla kernel, so select 9.8 Voodoo kernel to try, and only one kernel at a time, as well as one item per group.
Boot with -x -v cpus=4 (and/or busratio=20) to see if you get any further.
If not then post your custom selections to see if anything is missing.
Good luck.
OK, here we go again, then.
I am sure to have selected Vodoo as Kernel.
and tried with the wireless card.
just found this:
I do not want to make crossposting, I just want to make it work.PHP Code:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=206008&view=findpost&p=1469736
Voodoo Kernal
AppleATIATA
Seatlbelt Fix
IOUSBFamilySlice
AppleHDAudio
NVInject
anyway, should I try this? (without the NVInject) or lesser settings?
thanks for being there

Hi there,
That list looks very good.
Unless you know the video and wireless kexts for sure then leave them out for now to prevent conflict and KP as the main objective is to get into OSX with the least trouble. The minimal approach is sometimes the best one.
Once in there, you can always install kext/driver for the rest of the hardware, one by one.
Good luck.
Edit : addtl selections:
OpenHaltRestart, voodoousbehci.kext
DSDT and don't forget to try boot options upon reboot.

ouch!, KP again...
I had set up:
so, I tried again without the video or wireless drivers.PHP Code:Kernel: Vodoo
AppleAtiata
IOUSB Family(something)
I don't know...
I guess I will try again with only the Vodoo Kernel
I did not quite understood this::
where is OpenHaltRestart?
where is voodoousbehci.kext
where is DSDT?
and finally, how do I try boot options upon reboot?
how do I input them? (shortcut or something)
thanks again
Those are customization options in Ideneb 1.6, select them if they are there
When chameleon counts down, press any key, type boot options, then press enter.
-x -v busratio=20
If needed, add in cpus=4
Your busratio could be different and I don't have the exact number but just try those first to see.
thanks, I am now going to try with the boot options
hope it will work... if not, I will try installing again with new options
this is sad...
it does not detect the keyboard... it is a PS2 keyboard, can I solve it?
one of theese?
oh, and there was no countdown, so I just pressed F8 and typed in the boot options (htanks!)PHP Code:voodoousbehci.kext
AppleATIATA
Seatlbelt Fix
IOUSBFamilySlice
we're sooo near now
