Go into your BIOS and set sata to AHCI... If it still won't boot, then the Jmicron fix wasn't added to the loader of this .iso, sorry.

I finally worked my way around the Jmicron issue by using an older ide toshiba dvd drive off an old dell. I'm at the welcome screen now

Do you have your SATA set to AHCI in your BIOS?

If not, start by setting it correctly.

Also, please post your hardware so I can better assist.

    2 gigs PC8500 DDRII

I tried it with AHCI..shows up as 500 gigs now.. i'm not sure what the native mode is.. should this be enabled or disabled?

Also the drive is an orange removable drive.. is that right??

The drive will show as a removable drive icon.

I'm not sure but you might be able to correct it by setting to native.

Give it a try, it shouldn't hurt anything.

Let me know how it goes.

I have AHCI off, and this native mode enabled.. and it works just fine now...

can you or somebody explain why I should have AHCI on? is it a big difference?

I believe some user's have had to enable AHCI because their hard drive had issue's with loading the OS.

Also, similar issue's to what you are experiencing. However, with "native" mode enabled, you should be fine now.

I have tried a number of different installs, but keep getting these errors with grub & boot-132 bootloader & Leo 10.5.4 Retail DVD.

    Getting:
"EBIOS read error: Error 0x32 Block 16432736 sectors 64 comes up x 4"

at beginning of install, which will continue to boot until it eventually gets to:

"Attempting to determine CPU Multiplier. If System reboots, RDMSR causes a
    fault.
Determined CPU:FSB multiplier to be 9
    Measuring TSC Frequency
    CPU runs at 3166.367433 MHz
Bus must therefore run at 351.818683 MHz
    _"
    Then the System reboots.

I have tried numerous Different CPU settings in Bios but no luck.
SATA is also set to AHCI.

Any Ideas? Is there a specific good place to learn how to insert Kext files in install for a noob? Kext for dummies??

Also seem to be hitting brick walls with iATKOS 5i & Kalyway 10.5.2
Boots into Darwin but gets stuck with "still waiting for root device"

    Hardware as follows:

    Intel E8500 3.16Ghz
    Gigabyte EP45-DS3P
    2 X Kingston HyperX PC9600 DD2 1200MHz
    Asus HD2600XT PCI Express
    500GB SATA HD
IDE DVD R Drive (Also tried with 80GB IDE HD)
Apple Pro Keyboard & Mighty Mouse,
    Leo 10.5.4 Retail DVD
    Thanks,
