first of all thanks for this wonderful forum.
is iatkos 10.5.7 suitable for the above configuration?
if any body could point to a installation link for the above said laptop it would be a great help.

haven't used mac as much,just got to explore it at workplace
apart from being unix based it is packed with loads of cooler stuff which i'm just exploring so the urge to have a go at the x86 version before moving over to the real territory...

any help from you guys would be highly appreciated..

It is absolutely possible to run OSX-10.5.7 (Even OSX-10.5.8) on compaq 6720s.
Everything seems to work accept Bluetooth and Monitor resolution restricted by 1024x768 instead of 1280x960. Related topics over internet havn't brought me any closer towards the solution.
Here is a short guide:
1. Best way to start is to install your Brand New Lovely OS X on external hard-drive. !!! Preferably!!! is to buy a SATA 2.5" IDE Hard Drive of at least 60 Gigs and bee sure it is SEPARATE from a case and usb-sata converter. Better buy it from a local china-ship-10bucks-hands retailer, a good-looking case I mean. If than you will be happy with the OS of your choice, you can easily put the Hard Drive into your 6720s.

2. Download iATKOS v7 DVD 10 5 7 for Intel AMD 4965049 TPB : Software > Mac - Mininova
(iatkos torrent search) and burn the DVD.

3. Restart with external HD pluged after resetting your BIOS settings by default. Press F9 and choose to startup from Optical Disk.

4. Than another story begins. Google shall help you!

TPB image is 3.11gb whereas the one i downloaded from demonoid is 3.5gb...
why so?
didnt check the hash though...
will do so..
which one is the official iatkos release?
