yeah, but it errored out, i used kext helper, might back track, ive been thinking of editing the plist with an old command that might work!

Hi yall.

Stuffie thnx for the kext.

I installed them and guess what I finally got the sound icon on the topbar. But once I went to itunes to play a song no sound came out fomr the pc internal speaker.

I connected a headset and got the sound on them.

Any clue on how to get the internal speaker working?

icchansan I got this out of the everest program.

The soundcard that it detected is:

Analog Devices AD1981B(L) @ Intel 82801GB ICH7 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-1]

try to get this AC'97 from google or any distro, did you try with voodooHDA right?

Yeah I tried with VoodooHDA but had no luck. Once I use that kext it wouldn't even recognize my sound card.

I think I prolly stick with the kext that stuffie linked to and have a headset on. Thats better than no sound at all

Wait you got sound with headset? try this... just to test, go to system preferences - then sound - output, try changing the output

same here, external only, ive been cooking up some edited plist, but so far no good! but i wont stop though, this is like a goal for me now.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the board and i am asking for help installing iAtkos7 on my GX620. I see that Skibur successfully installed it on his GX620 and i would like to know what options were checked in CUSTOMIZED. I've been trying to installing but have had no luck getting it to install. Thanks in advance. The system is stock besides an ATI Radeon 4650 PCIe 1GB.
