The company I work for recently went out of business and had a huge auction to try to offset some of their debts. I happened to be able to buy my mac book pro they supplied me with in the office. I thought not to buy it because it did have the IT Administration account still on it but i asked the guys at best buy and they said it could be removed and clean installed no problem so i bought it. long story short they charged me 30 dollars and it still had the IT Administration account on there with everything from my job still on it. i can still log in to my account BUT i am incredibly limited in everything i do. from sites i can access to downloading certain things. i cant call anyone to ask for the password because the business doesn't exist anymore and i don't happen to know any of the IT guys there personally. its running osx 10.6.8 snow leopard and ive tried booting from hard drive but it literally just logs me in even though i have a password on it. i believe this is because of the IT administration account restrictions/settings etc.. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
