    Red face Annoying Problem!

Hello community I have a really annoying problem. Couple of weeks ago I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 in my pc the only think that didn't work was the sound, because I could not get it to work I uninstalled it and install it again hoping for the sound to work this time well it did not. Then I download iDeneb 10.5.5, 10.5.6, iPC 10.5.6 Universal and XxX 10.5.6 Universal but for some reason my PC would not read the dvds I mean it would never get to the installation part of the disc at all the only distro that did it was iPC10.5.6 but when it got to the installation part the mouse did not work and I tried again but no luck it would get stuck and it would not go to the installation part.

After a couple of days trying those dvds to work in my pc I decided to install Kalyway 10.5.2 again but it did the same thing the oher dvds did, but kalyway never did that in my pc before I tried to install those other dvds. I was wondering why my computer does that. Any ideas what could it be?

This is what I typed when I boot from the dvds but no luck, -v, -f, -x, cpus=1 etc...

    This is my PC specs
Compaq Presario SR1750NX Desktop PC- Product Specifications
Which distro do you guys think I should install on my pc? I would really look for some help. Thanks again. Cheers!

P.S. The only thing different in my PC is that I changed the video card and Im using Nvidid GeForce 8500 GT instead of the ATI Radeon 200 series.

Possible bad dvd drive or it was having problem reading dvd burned at fast speed.
I had the same problem on my laptop. It spewed all kind of errors and kernel panic even before I can get to the installation screen. All of that was fixed after I burned the DVD at 2x speed.

Well all the dvds were burned at 4x speed and, and the only dvd that it would read all the time was Kalyway 10.5.2 until last week. Now it doesn't boot up anything, when Im using windows and I put a cd or dvd it reads it fine and everything but is just with the OSX86 dvds.

What error did you get? maybe you need a BIOS MOD, did you set your SATA to ACHI Support?
