I jailbroke/unlocked my iphone.

In the messages there is no icon to attach pics to mms. I read a number of items, searched Cydia for the MMS and tethering update but could not find. Please advise!

Your post doesn't make it clear what model iPhone you have -- keep in mind only the 3G and 3GS have the ability to send MMS. If you've got a 2G you're limited to hacking MMS support in, which is an entirely separate issue.

If you have a 3G or 3GS, you will need to install the carrier update or mobileconfig for your provider. Most of these can be found in Cydia. I've also had good success with the mobileconfigs from help.BenM.at – Mobileconfigs and Tethering for your iPhone | BenM.at -- go there on the iPhone.

Last but not least, if you do this and it still doesn't work, give a shout to your carrier and make sure your plan supports it.

Hah. Yeah I'll admit MobileConfigs aren't the most popular nor the most supported -- a relic from an age passed it seems.

I had forgotten the .IPCC bundles were able to be loaded from iTunes again now. That is the easiest way to handle the situation, like dtube said, and doesn't come with some of the other problems you can get when applying mobileconfigs.
