Unlocked but not receiving MMS.
I updated to 3.1.2 and unlocked using Blacksn0w. I am having a problem receiving picture text messages on T-Mobile USA. I can send them but when I have one sent over I receive this error "The Media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction."
I have setup the MMS Settings using both the Old wap.voicestream.com settings and the new epc.tmobile.com settings.
I spoke with someone at Level 3 support for T-Mobile and they could not come up with a solution to solve this. I was wondering if anyone else out there has experience a similar situation and if they have any solutions.
Thanks.

There is no such thing as a mistake, there is what you do, and what you don't do.

First you have to enable MMS. Go to the Settings icon and scroll down to the Messages option (select). Make sure MMS Messaging is enabled.
Back up to the Main settings screen. Click on General> Network> Cellular Data Network> MMS
Complete with these settings:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS UA Prof URL:
power off and power on and you should see the icon in your sms messages.
I hope this works for you.

I had the same problem, here is the solution. Did you install rock? or Cydia?
Do a search for MMS and look for the Tmobile Carrier Bundle for 3.1.2 install and reset and boom everything should be working great!
I hope this helps!

Tried the package for smart phone data plan that uses internet2. Didnt work. Also took away my tethering.
Update:
Tried both from Joseph Carter. Both still same msg with no incoming MMS from others. Also removed tethering toggle.
SpookeyET's dont work on 3.1.2
Will explain also I can send to whoever but can not receive from anyone but myself.
T-Mo 3G 3.1.2fw 5.11.07bb Blackra1n
Removed packages and now have my Cellular Data Network setting back but missing tethering toggle.
Fixed it. Changed "MMS Max Message Size" to 24,000,000 (no commas) It was 1048576. Was looking at megapixels and what the camera takes. Cant say it is correct but it works.
