Whats the difference between real activation ( lets say you borow a satt sim from one of your frinds) and hactivation.

Is there any draw back if you activate through att sim and than jailbreak and unlock than just insert a tmobile sim.

when i mean draw back i mean beside push notification.
im more interseted on coverage becaue i have done so and idk if its me
or when the phone was hacktivated i had better reception.

It has nothing to do with reception. Activation mostly impacts YouTube, location services (map/gps) and push services.
