I have an iPhone 3GS 16GB with the following settigns:
Version 3.1.2 (7D11)
Modem 05.11.07
Model MC131B
It is on Vodafone and I need to use it on 02, so I activated it using a Vodafone SIM and the used blackra1n to unlock it as follows:
Download blackra1n, connect iPhone to MacBook Pro, run blackra1n, iPhone restarts, run blackra1n on iphone and install cydia. I then take out Vodafone sim and put in the 02 sim, seems to work fine, can make and receive calls.
Turned phone off as wasnt using it then today when I turn it on the screen is giving me the USB to iTunes prompt. When I connect to my MacBook iTunes tells me the phone is in recovery mode and I need to restore, only I know if I restore it will update to 3.1.3 (which after limited reading I believe will screw up any chances of unlocking?). So only way to get it back running again is to run blackra1n and I am back in but I cant keep it like this just in case there comes I time I need to turn off my phone or if it dies on me etc.
Any ideas what I have done wrong and how to get this phone unlocked and working on 02?
Any help greatly received. Also help in baby steps would be fantastic as I am not too clued up on jailbreaking.
