Itunes works perfectly with my iPhone.
Tons of cracked applications are installed by iTunes since it is jailbreaked.

There is no support for cracked applications in this forum. Discussion regarding piracy is actively discouraged here.

The troubleshooting step I was talking about was to put the iPhone into DFU mode and restore it to factory OS 3.1.2 without jailbreak and setting the iPhone up as new.

Then see if the problem reoccurs. You have eliminated the jailbreak as a suspect. That means it is either an Apple bug or hardware.

So far so good...
I have restored it...no more problem regarding the screen not responding...which is good!

I just exchanged my iPhone with Apple 3 weeks ago because of the whitescreenofdeath.

I think I should wait a little more to see if the problem will come up again.

I tried to download a bunch of freeware to see if the problem happens when i have a bunch of applications...i think i had back then at least 50 app.

I have seen on the net other people with the same problem that I had and they had to exchange their unit.

I hope its not going to be the case.

I did had a few "screen not responding" issues with my iphone since yesterday...but less serious.

The screen wasnt responding for like 30 seconds then came back. I was so pissed...I call my provider and ask for another one. They will send me one within the next 3 weeks!!!!

Anyway...I decided to jailbreak it again at least to be more comfortable with my devine device.

Since the jailbreak yesterday night, it only froozed one time, but it did it just like before...i had to press on the power button to solve the issue.
Seems like jailbreaking it make the problem worse (By the way i did installed intelliscreen or lockinfo).

I can live with that for a while.

I used geohot's BlackRa1n to jailbreak and unlock my friends phone.
It is a new iPhone 3GS (with updated bootrom). This of course means that once jailbroken the phone should not be turned off, otherwise it needs BlackRa1n to boot. After i unlocked, SIMs from other operators worked fine, wifi, etc. everyting was fine.

BUT, my friend did not like the idea of booting the phone from PC every time it goes off, so he asked me to restore it to the previous settings (iPhone locked only to one carrier).

I tried to make restore from itunes, (itunes automaticly downloaded the latest firmware and installed it), BUT when it booted, I was only able to do emergency calls, just like locker iPhone.

finaly:
Is it possible to restore the phone to the old settings?! Is it possible the phone to be locked to only one operator but to be able to boot normaly without using BlackRa1n.

Hey. I have a newer 3gs, week 45 and on 3.1.2. I wanted to jailbreak it to be able to use winterboard, is there anyway you could guide me through it? I jailbroke it once already with blackra1n, and the jailbreaking process went just fine until I installed winterboard. After it installed, and robooted, the connect to iTunes picture showed, which I believe is the restore. I freaked out, and restored back with iTunes and my phone is working perfectly again... With no jailbreak. Any tips of some sort would be amazing! Thanks so much!

hey, guys. Just got the new 3GS. Jb and unlocked using Blacksnow. Working great, absolutely no complains. However, the battery went dead and I had to reboot it using Blackra1n. After that, my Notes app keeps crashing. Any Ideas/tips on how to solve this problem?
