I don't have access to a legit AT&T sim. Would injecting genuine certs (through the Dev-Team's pushfix Beta procedure) after performing the jailbreak and unlock fix the Youtube, Wi-fi, and push issues?

I got lost in here. Blacksn0w and Blackra1n do just 3 things, whose concepts are the same since the golden 1.x days of iPhone 2G:

SIM Unlocking
Hacktivation
Jailbreak

In order to use whatever SIM card you want, you need an unlocked baseband, which is what Blacksn0w does and Apple hates mostly.

Then, in case you have a, let's say, US phone and you are not on US to activate using AT&T SIM, here comes Hacktivation. However, if you are on US and you can activate your phone on AT&T, never, ever, had made any sense to go for a hacktivation instead of the official activation.

Finally, if you do want to install applications thru Cydia or whatever 3rd party not being AppStore, here comes Jailbreak.

I guess you may chose to drop hacktivation and go with official activation. Just make sure the iPhone does not deactivates itself after getting another carrier' SIM card in -- thus making hacktivation your only chance.

I think a 3G can become deactivated on SIM swap, but have not tried it, I hope someone will, I dont have Tmobile, only ATTUsa sim. If this happens run Blackra1n with the unofficial SIM installed and it hacktivates automatically, thereby killing youtube, until you install the DevTeam Push fix.

I think 3GS will keep the official activation when swapping SIMs, again I have not tried it, I hope someone will and share the learning. If you install the dev team push fix on a legit activated 3GS, it kills wifi, or at least resets it to off..

moral of the story, dont put dev team push fix on activated iPhone, only on hacktivated one (would be cool if DevTeam and Geo collaborate to come out with a BlackPwnTool capable of incorporating an intelligent install of pushfix automatically when hacktivating, and not when not.. also afc2add option, bossprefs option, etc)

Switching SIMs does not deactivate your phone. If you activate with an official SIM, it won't lose activation when you switch SIMs. The only time you lose activation is when you do a full restore to factory stock. If you do this when you go to a new firmware or when you want to JB, then yes, you'll need to re-activate.

ANd yes, do NOT hacktivate if you can/are activated the proper way.

ok I have 3gs on 3.1.2 and baseband 5.11.07, i use T-mobile and it works fine on it. However when I insert an AT&T pay as you go sim chip it only says no service no matter what I do, I try resetting network, and resetting everything, but I still have "no service"

By the way I have tried this sim chip on a iphone 3g with 3.1.2 and bb 5.11.07 unlocked with blacksn0w and it works fine. I get full bars at the same location and can make calls and receive them.

So is there a limitation with the 3GS when using the pay as you go AT&T chip?

Tested here on an iphone 3G. Activated with AT&T SIM.
Blackra1n JB, restore with custom firmware, unlock with blacksn0w.
SIM Swap with tmobile OK.

iphone 3GS - same.

great, you are confirming that a legit activated iPhone can swap sims after unlocking at FW3.1.2 with blacksn0w

my next question, can you swap sims on a hacktivated (non legit activated) 3g that is unlocked at FW 3.1.2 with blacksn0w

there was a post by dtube a while back quoting geohot saying the 3G does not behave the same as a 3GS on a sim swap, but I was unclear if that was only with hacktivation, I think it was

3)installed redsn0w 9.4 so I have cydia but can't install because no wifi
4)I have 3.1.2 installed but everytime Itry to restore in DFU mode and get error 1013

Also this custom version of redsn0w http://www.hackint0sh.org/f220/124913-6.htm#post542317 to help disable the current version of blacksn0w so you can uninstall it.
