IPhone Unlock Questions!
Hey guys,
I have an IPhone that is running on 3.1.2 with firmware 05.11.07. As you can tell, this iphone has never been updated or plugged into a computer.
I was wondering whether I should update to 4.1 or a newer version to get the benefits of that software before I jailbreak or should I just do it now. Also if I update, how do I make sure that my baseband is still good for the jailbreak?
If I do it now, how do I do it??
Sorry, I'm really new to this stuff!
Best,
Stuart

I hate to do it, but every single one of your questions has been asked and answered hundreds of times on the forum already. Please do some searching, you'll find hundreds of opinions about the benefits of jailbreaking, whether your baseband is unlockable and how to unlock it, what version of iOS and what version of jailbreak software to use for what hardware, how to do it, where to find the files, etc., even step by step instructions.
It's great that you're getting into this stuff and I'm glad to see another new member to the community -- BUT, being new doesn't alleviate you from the responsibility of doing a little bit of research to get up to speed. Good news is, as I said, *all* of this is covered on the board already so a few minutes with the search box will answer all of your questions.
