iPhone 3G stuck on apple logo loop HELP!
for some dumb reason i downloaded blacksnow through cydia and during the reboot my iphone got stuck on the apple logo and is in a constant loop. the phone was updated to 3.1.3 with a legit itunes update and was jailbroken with spirit. ive been trying forever to put it into RFU mode or recovery mode and my mac never detects the phone. ive tried using the irecovery method and i still cant get my mac to detect my iphone.

I know you said you tried, but it's not an easy thing to do and it's possible you just didn't get it to work that time. It took me many tries to get it the first time until I got the feel for it. There should be very little you can have done to the 3G (based on what you're telling us) that would cause the phone to not be able to enter this mode -- make sure it's plugged in to your computer when you do this, if your computer doesn't work, try a different one or someone else's -- it should definitely get you to a point where you can detect the phone and restore firmware.
Good luck!
