Default iPhone 3.1.2 Stuck In Freeze?!

    Hey all.

First of my iPhone wouldn't show any WiFi hotspots so I did the network reset in the settings. I then re-booted and went to re-jailbreak using blackra1n and instead of rebooting it just throws me straight back to the restore screen.

I don't want to restore it because i'll loose everything i've got on there and I wouldn't even know how to restore it back to the 3.1.2 firmware.

    Any help?

This might sound a ouch option but if you can possibly update to firmware 3.1.3 you will be able to keep all your data just not your JB data.
If you take any sort of advise from me, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS SO DON'T BLAME ME!

Is there any way to reinstall the 3.1.2 firmware once i've restored it?

Thumbs up stuck at geohots face in a loop after network reset.. here is the fix/solution

hello, im new here, but ive seen that many have had the same problem as me.
I too could not fin any wifi in my house but ut had been woorking everyday until yesterday for som reason, so I did as usual.. I reset my network settings and my phone restarted itself. i connected it to my computer and made it rain with blackra1n as usual. but this time instead having my phonje open after geohots face it simply got stuck on his face for 2 min and den reeboted itself (looked like it crashed or something) the apple logo would come up again and I would do the same thing again and again, but no result..
After that I made some reseach, I tried all types of thing, I really mean EVERYTHING, pressing the buttons in all ways all combination, the 10 sec etc etc.. but it didnt work..
at last I gave up, then I read someone here said that it worked for him after he let his phone rebrakejail itself over and over during the night and that it finally worked by itself.. so I gave it a shot, I had alredy tried everything else, why not this.
so this is what I did:
    1. open Itunes
    2. connect iphone to computer
    3. makesure Itunes has automatic synchronising enabled
    4.open blackra1n
    5. make it rain

and now wait until the face disappears, and see if the jailbreak starts automatically after it restarts itself--> this is essential.
if it does keep it like that for the night, dont tocuh it.

for me I heard it make the click sound after several hours the best sound ive heard for a loooong time

but why did it suddenly work?? I believe it can be because of the battery being reduced to only 5% left (the phone didnt charge when it was connected to the computer)

but as it got workinbg this morning I saw one small problem. NO WIFI!!
I cant even push the WIFI button to search.
the entire column is dimmed and untouchable.

but as I see it thats no big issue for now. I got my jailbreaken Iphone back with all in it intact, and thats the most important thing right now

    hope this helps

    Default Confirm Rimons solutions!

    My Iphone:
Iphone 3GS with new Bootrom 3.1.2 (No SHSH on file)
    Jailbreaked with blackra1n
Was Stuck in Recovery Mode Loop because of resetting network setting!!

I can CONFIRM rimons solution. It Works!!!!!!
I was very happy this morning, as I see my Iphone working. DD

I have let blackra1n running the whole night. There
was about 25 messageboxes, this morning.

Used System: Laptop, Windows XP, itunes 8.2

Last week i had tried on my PC with Windows 7 64-bit,itunes 9, it hadnt work,
so my advice: Dont give up, Dont upgrade to 3.1.3, try with an other PC or OS-System, make sure blackra1n is really running the whole time.

This has been confirmed from quite a few independent sources. The key is to let the battery go flat and keep blackra1n running.

Not yet confirmed on mac blackra1n, any confirmations there would be nice.

There can be other problems that produce the same symptoms. It does not hurt to try this fix first. If this does not work. Try a different computer. If it still does not work then you need to connect via iRecovery and post the results for further diagnosis.
