GPS Lock Problem after blacsnow on 3g 3.1.2
I upgraded my 3G 3.0 phone to 3.1.2 using iTunes, and jailbroke & unlocked using blackra1n. I also installed push fix from Cydia, and now everything works fine (wifi, youtube) except the GPS. When I launch maps, it is pretty fast in finding my location but it does not lock the GPS signal even though I wait long enough time with clear sky.
anybody having the same problem? I have mobilesubtrate installed and I am using SBSetting and few other programs using the mobilesubtrate. Can this be the cause for the issue?

Check your time and zone settings are correct, try changing them to another location within the same time zone and restarting your iPhone.

Thanks. First of all, in the time and date settings, I can't see the "set the time zone automatically" option anymore. Anyway, I went ahead and set the location to a different city in my time zone, restarted, but still having the same issue.

It was just a suggestion.. I have seen some reports that it is the time/time zone offset that is causing the problem with the GPS lock. There are people with similar problems who have never jailbroken, which is why I suggested looking at the time/timezone config.
There are also problems with blackra1n hacktivation, including GPS/locationservices. I was under the impression that this could be fixed by running the dev team's pushfix (with unique certificates). The pushfix in Cydia should also fix this despite this package not installing unique certificates.
Try shift-click restoring with a custom ipsw created via pwnagetool. This will eliminate blackra1n's hacktivation as a potential source for this problem.

Tw two suggestions I have made are the only two that have been reported to succesfully work for others.
The only other thing you can try is downgrading to 3.0 (which will not downgrade baseband) and then jailbreaking with redsn0w apply blacksn0w unlock. This might bring back the GPS.
