I can imagine, just did not hear or see any updates regarding new bootrom.

Apart from RedSn0w 0.9 I don't expect to see anything else released from the Dev Team until the next FW released.

or until the next iphone is released since the ipod touch 2g gave way to jailbreaking the first 3gs, if the dev team releases a way to fully jailbreak the new 3gs bootrom, Which may be in the next iphone, apple could fix and update the new iphone before the initial release

Yeah, agree with this, they are keeping any exploits they might have in baseband, iBoot or bootrom until there is a reason to use them (Apple Tablet, iPhone 4G, OS update that does not work with baseband 04.26.08)
