Hi there,

today i bought a new iPhone (that was activated at the apple store), I got home and run blackra1n on it.. it all seemed fine after it ran,.... but a while after playing with the iPhone i restarted it and it showed me an icon with a iphone cable trying to connect to itunes on the screen...

Is it that the new iPhones cannot be unlocked/jailbroken? Is there a way around it? I did a restore after this and it worked ok (and it even seem to have kept the unlock as i try inserting another att sim card (from my blackberry) and it seems to work with it... but the problem is that it doesn't have blackrain anymore for me to install cydia...

Any workarounds or guidance on this will be greatly appreciated.

--==== just realized, I don't remember running blacksnow from the blackrain app on the iphone,... how is it possible that my other att simcard is working when it is not an iphone simcard (ie. it's the simcard i use on my blackberry ) ===---

Recent 3SGS iPhones can be jailbroken but not in a way that allows the iPhone to restart normally.

You must connect the iPhone to your computer and run blackra1n again everytime the iPhone boots.

The phone lock prevents you from using other carriers with the phone.
