    Exclamation Blacksn0w & 3.1.3 - 5.11.07 ONLY!

I think I fixed blacksn0w to work with CommCenter from 3.1.3 - here's the patched one.
I'm not sure why you would be running 3.1.3 with 5.11 BB, but these conditions are absolutely required for this to work.
If this works for you (and especially if it doesn't), please post results..

    blog_title: Fixing Blacksn0w on 3.1.3

    Patched dylib: http://sites.google.com/site/msftguy...edirects=0&d=1

    Instructions:

    • Download blackra1n.com/blacksn0w.deb, unpack with 7Zip
    • Copy System\Library\LaunchDaemons\com.apple.CommCenter. plist from .deb to /tmp/ on the phone
    • Copy the patched blacksn0w.dylib to /usr/lib/
    • Chmod the dylib:
      Code:
      chmod 755 /usr/lib/blacksn0w.dylib
    • Try to execute a test load, make sure you get signal with your T-Mobile SIM -)
Use this command (important: this must be entered as a single command because stopping CommCenter will disconnect/pause WiFi and SSH):
      Code:
      launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist ; launchctl load /tmp/com.apple.CommCenter.plist ; launchctl start com.apple.CommCenter
    • ONLY If test load works OK, copy com.apple.CommCenter.plist from /tmp to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/
    • If test load does not work OK, the phone will freeze, wait 20 seconds and reboot (Power+Home), upload CommCenter crash logs from /private/var/logs/CrashReporter

It seems so. It is hard to be 100% sure but it seems like this works pretty much the same way as with 3.1.2 The patch just enables the existing blacksn0w to work with 3.1.3 commcenter

One thing to note, as reported by one of the testers this has exactly the same chance of triggering the wifi race condition as under 3.1.2 - it is the baseband version not the OS or commcenter that is the problem.

So.. in summary, this seems to work, but you should only run 3.1.3 if you absolutely need to (an app that only works with 3.1.3 for example)

    Default Blacksn0w & 3.1.3 - 5.11.07 ONLY!

OK guys, maybe someone can help me on this matter. Although i read all the post, i still did not find an answer to my question. Here is the situation:
I have an 3gs iphone, with the 4th and 5th number in the serial number being 36.
I bought it with version 3.1.2 and unlocked it, after which i could not resync it with my itunes, it did not erase previous applications from it, and it did not install mine.
I had to go into setting, general, erase all content and data, hoping this will help. Once i did that the phone got stuck into booting and having the apple sign on the screen.
I tried restoring to custom 3.1.2, but did not work. Looking online i found a custom firmware 3.1.3 that i could install on the phone, and now the phone has 3.1.3, with modem firmware 5.11.07.
The custom firmware 3.1.3 has the phone already jailbroken with cydia on it, which allowed me to install apps.
When i put my tmobile card in, it shows no bars on the signal side, and i can't make any calls.
Online i read that ultrasn0w can unlock this firmware by installing it from cydia.
I tried that, but after installing ultrasnow, the phone gets stuck again with the “return to cydia” screen on, after which restarts on it’s own and get’s stuck on the black screen with apple sign on.
I tried the procedures abut three time with no luck. Is there any other way to unlock it?
Right now i have 3.1.3 custom firmware with a jailbroken phone, but no unlock.
    Please help
    Thanks

blacksn0w is that blackrain uses. right? if this is so then the previous situation was that
if some1 with 3gs with 3.1.3 and bb 5.12.07 could downgrade to 3.1.2 then he could jailbreak it with blackrain but couldnt unlock it
because of the bb 5.12.07. now as commcenter is fixed is it like 3.1.3 with 5.12.07 can be jailbroken but cant be unlocked?
so if this is so then it is good news for many factory unlocked 3gs owners with 3.1.3 and bb 5.12.07 as their factory unlocked phones will
have jailbreak. please let me know if i am wrong. i am having high hopes now.

    cheers

this fix is for people who followed the recommendations of the dev team and stayed on the pwnagetrain (but bought their phone on 3.1.2 or 3.1) or those who used blackra1n to jailbreak then upgraded safely to 3.1.3 via either PwnageTool or sn0wbreeze (unsupported unofficial windows clone of pwnagetool)

these iPhone owners (3G and oldbootrom 3GS) have ended up with 3.1.3 via custom ipsw and baseband 05.11.07. Now they can use blacksn0w unlock.

There is not a direct jailbreak for 3GS accidentally upgraded to 3.1.3. Unlock for 05.12.01 will also likely never exist.

I got the custom blacksn0w file, and i am using the iphone browser to copy them into the iphone. I got stuck at "load test" thing.
How do i do that, what does that mean?

You need either OpenSSH or MobileTerminal to run the load test.

If you are not comfortable with the command line you should wait till this is inevitebly packaged and available in Cydia.
