Don't expect this soon. From the sounds of it, geohot will take a few days break before looking at this again. It was not easy to exploit this hole.

Also remember that the devteam have been investigating this hole for quite a bit longer than geohot, they like to keep quiet about things until they are ready to release. They may surprise us still.

The second is most likely in jest, but regardless. These things are not easy and this hole is harder to exploit because it was a heap overflow. The previous holes used for yellowsn0w and ultrasn0w were stack and stack-buffer overflows which are easier to exploit.

People needs to keep their hopes up rather than saying this is very hard to expoit blah blah blah. Think positive

Where there's a will there's a way. If Geohot unlocks the OTB 3.1 I will definitely donate to his cause.

I was just saying don't expect this overnight! The dev team try to avoid giving dates because it is easy to not meet the date. Blackra1n was a few days late and it did not work so well with 3G iPhones until RC2.

Regardless, this discussion is a non issue, unlock will be released very soon and Geohot has done a good thing and used this opportunity to put the focus squarely back on the scum who exploit the pent up demand for an unlock to make money.
