Default Wi-fi prob it's not common I think

I got no wifi and no bluetooth about 3 months after I unlocked my phone with yellowsn0w and since then I tried to get on with it but I finally had it.

Now since blackra1n jailbreaks and unlocks your phone on 3.2 I upgraded by having a custom firmware and then copying somefiles by some iphone explorer so that my wifi would get fixed but no luck. My problem isn't having a greyed out wifi tab or anything. I have a wifi address and a bluetooth address but I just can't see any networks, the phone keeps trying to find any network without success. Help?

Can you restart your iPhone and then login via ssh

    run
    Code:
    dmesg > /tmp/dmsg.txt
You should never have upgraded to the 3.1.x baseband if you were already having wifi problems.

Transfer the dmsg.txt file to your computer and post the contents on pastebin - collaborative debugging tool and then reply here with a link so we can see what happens when your wifi is initialized at startup

I am sorry I am not an expert here but shouldn't I have an IP address to log on by SSH? I cannot connect to any network because I have no wifi.

There are ways to SSH over the USB cable that don't require wifi at all.

You can also install mobile terminal and run this command from within mobile terminal and then use a program like iPhone Browser iphonebrowser - Project Hosting on Google Code to transfer the file to your local machine. Make sure to note the extra step you need to do to get iPhone Browser to work because you used the bare-bones blackra1n to jailbreak.

Have the same problem here with 2 3GS. How did you jailbreak your iphone?Did you install blackra1n?

I know that if you reset all settings it will work again, but after a reboot it will give you the same problem. I'm trying to find a solution here, but its very odd. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not, and sometimes it even get stuck at the boot logo!!So you will have to restore. Its very annoying, and it started with 3.1.2.
