Restore question....
I have an Iphone 3g 8gb. I jailbroke it with blackra1n about a month or so ago. I'm not quite sure what happened but iTunes is telling me that it can't "read the contents of this iphone" and that it needs to be restored to factory. I get the restore part, but will this upgrade my phone to 3.1.3 and than I'll be screwed? Or will I be ok?
thanks guys

Do you rely on unlock?
There is nothing stopping you from restoring 3.1.2 (only 3GS owners are forced to 3.1.3 if they don't have a shsh). You just need to shift-click restore (option click on a mac) and browse to a 3.1.2 ipsw you have downloaded. You can find the correct IPSW for your model on this page. Firmware - The iPhone Wiki
