half-loop 3gs is down
well, as i usually do right after i wake up, i opened te iphone browser, read some news then i opened rock and i noticed that there's a rock update and a few liberary updates, so i confirmed updating all of them and it asked me wether i should restart now or on exit, so i chose on exit. and after i exited rock, instead of soft rebooting, it shut down and restarted. i didn't mind that! i went to my laptop and ran blackra1n ( as i usually do ) but the picture of geohot appeast for a couple of seconds, it flicks to a second then it turns off. i believe that there's something wrong with cydia or rock. and i also recommend not to update anything from apple or cydia or rock. it would be better not to get connected to the internet at all till this gets sorted out. this began to happen to lots of people starting the 5th of May.
people using 3GS, jailbroken with blackra1n, BB 5.11. i noticed more than a 100 people with the same problem. and without SHSH on file stuck. please find a solution for this, as i'm assuring you.... many people will eventually lose their phones and their data because of this bug, or APPLE's secret update. who knows!

Removal instructions for blacksn0w depend on how you installed it -- if you used Cydia to install, you can just remove the package. If you used blackra1n to install, you would need to either SSH to the phone or connect it to your PC and use iFunBox/DiskAid/etc. to remove /usr/lib/blacksn0w.dylib and re-add the original com.apple.CommCenter.plist. Once you have removed blacksn0w, the phone should reboot properly, allowing you to install the latest version of blacksn0w (RC2 Final) from the official repository (cydia.pushfix.info).
.

Use the technique in this thread http://www.hackint0sh.org/f230/95865.htm but use the RC2 deb instead.
It also usually possible to get wifi back by uninstalling blacksn0w (RC1) and doing a reset network settings.

I would focus on getting your wifi back first.

Depends on whether you've done a full restore or not. If all you've done is upgrades, your contact list should be safe. That said, the contact list is also backed up in the standard iPhone backup that iTunes makes whenever you plug the phone in, so make a copy of your most recent backup before you start messing around to ensure you can recover if need be.
