I have a very strange problem JB'ing my 3G device. After doing a clean restore to 3.1.2, I get a "waiting for Activation - this may take some time" notice. I then install blackra1n and get the same warning message. After installing Rock, I see the device searching for a network for about 5 seconds and then the same warning message comes up again (with no service). I am using an AT&T SIM. I have repeated this process a few times and same issue every time! Any ideas?
"waiting for Activation" message is normal, it usually disappears after 5-10 seconds if apple's servers are responding normally. Apple says it could take up to 48 hours to receive activation but this is in worst case scenarios (first day of release of a new iPhone model for example).Quote:

thanks for the response. i have Jailbroken my phone many times in the past and the waiting for activation went away after a few seconds. However, yesterday and today, I've waited at least an hour, and the warning message is still there. Is there anything else I can try?
