looks like he's releasing it soon because the ipt3 are dropped from his family line of jailbreak..... someone have to take over the ipt3

Sorry for my moment of stupidity but could some one explain please what ipt2 and ipt3 mean, what's the difference, and does this little nugget of info about the none support for ipt3 mean that 3.1 otb are screwed? I'm so glad I pushed sauriks button at 3.0 to make my life easier.

ipt2 = iPod touch 2G
ipt3 = iPod touch 3G

Yes blackra1n does jailbreak 3.1 and 3.1.2 out of the box, just done it on my 2 3GS phones without any problems.

I just jailbroke my 3GS 3.1 OTB (factory unlocked).

Less than 1 minute job in 64bit Vista ;) and total success !!!

He should post a notice saying that Blackra1n its not a 3.1 UNLOCK, not everyone follows him on twitter...

Just a warning, Cyntact and/or Mobile Substrate, doesn't seem to work on 3.1.2 on my 3GS. Got stuck in a SpringBoard loop and downgraded to 3.1.

it was the simpliest jailbreak ever for my 3.1.2 3GS iPhone.
Not even 30 sec on windows 7 and just 1 click
