Password wifi problem

Hello
I have new problem with wifi, it was working great but I installed software call : dessid - I am not sure this program caused this problem or not maybe it is before but i didn't know -
the problem is : wifi working very good with public netwoks ( no password)
but if i try connect to locked networks ( require password) then i will have popup : unable to join network
please help me as soon as possible
Note:
My iphone is 3GS new bootrom,
version 3.1.2
modem firmware 05.11.07

I would assume this has something to do with dessid, as you expected. Make sure you're running the latest version of dessid, as version 1.4 does claim tested support for iOS 4.0. I know you're running 3.1.2, but the fact that they've got a version out and tested for iOS 4.0 illustrates that the software is still in development and should work fine on your device, especially on software 3.1.2. Test as well by uninstalling, rebooting, and checking to make sure you can join the network.

unfortunately i still have same problem, i don't have the latest version of dessid but i have 1.3 but i uninstall it and restart IPhone ...
my question is : can i rest all network settings ???
last time i did it my Iphone dosen't restart ...

So long as you didn't jailbreak the device with blackra1n and then use the first blacksn0w carrier unlock, you should be fine with a reset network settings. Only people it really affected were early unlockers with a very specific problem.

Also, I still recommend getting the latest version of the software.... Not sure why this would be a problem. Just pop into iTunes on your PC and tell it to update then re-sync the updated app to the phone via USB, even if your WiFi isn't working.
