    Default Iphone 3GS recovery mode issue:

    So i have a 3gs that according to f0recast v1.0 says:

    Serial # 880035713NQ
    Baseband 5.11.07
    Bootloader 6.4
    Model MB716

    Unlockable? Yes (use blacksn0w)
    Tethered? No.

    I ran blackra1n, and installed a couple apps from Rock, Backgrounder, xGPS, SBSETTINGS, five icon dock, Reminder (notifier), MyWi, My3G, biteSMS, and GV Mobile +. I installed a couple apps here and there to test out, but removed them.

    My phone every once-in-awhile tries to respring, hangs then I have to hardware reset it. When I do this it puts the phone in recovery mode.

    This is awful when I am not near a computer, and an app crashes while I am on the road and have to restart the device and it goes into recovery mode.

    What am I doing wrong / how do I fix this issue?

    I Tried to restore back to 3.1.2 (my phone came with 3.1.2 on it), but iTunes won't let me.

    This is a known bug in f0recast. See Twitter / Angie(:: @ih8sn0w f0recast doesn't ... it is fixed in f0recast 1.0.4
    All software from ih8sn0w should be treated as extreme beta and avoided if possible. They are cowboys of the jailbreaking scene and their products are not always 100% legal or reliable.

    You are limited to tethered jailbreak, there is no fix aside from removing jailbreak from your phone.

    Only way to remove jailbreak is to restore with unmodified apple ipsw (if you don't have a backed up SHSH, on a 3GS that means OS 3.1.3)
