Iphone 3g wont restore on itunes
i was at my friends house and i bot an iphone off some dude and he sed he was doing a master reset and it froze the iphone so now when you turn it on the apple logo just sits there forever. i restored it to 3.1.3 firmware so then i could just downgrade it to 3.1.2 and use blackra1n to jailbreak it and at my friends houseat the end of the restore procces i get this 1015 error and it stops and goes back to the connect to itunes screen. i thought it had to do something with my friends itunes cause it was 9.0.3 and people were saying to downgrade to the old 8.2 or w/e itunes nd itll restore. we tried downgrading the itunes but it wouldnt let us so i just went home cause my ituens at home is an older version and when i tried restoring it on there to 3.1.2 it sayd that this firmware is not compadible. then people were saying that when it says that then i should update it to the newest itunes version so i did and it still says that, so now it wont let me change the firmware to anything.
idk wut to do sumone please get bak to me quick>.<
oh yeh and while at my friends house when i was restoring it and getting those errors i was running ireb and i was still getting the errors

Downgrading from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 on an iPhone 3G should not be a problem, and the 1015 error is actually expected when you downgrade the iPhone's firmware. After doing so, you do need to kickstart the phone out of recovery mode the first time -- you can do this by running iRecovery or PwnageTool to kick the phone out of recovery mode.
If after downgrading you are unable to get the device to come out of the recovery loop even using iRecovery or Pwnage, I would recommend using PwnageTool to create a pwned firmware and use that to restore it -- I've had problems restoring stock apple firmware downgrades to devices where pwned firmware downgrades of the same version end up working fine. Never able to isolate the cause, but if you're going to jailbreak anyway -- may as well pwn first and flash.
If none of this works, let us know the specific error code you're getting and at what part of the process you're getting it, whether you started the restore from DFU mode or recovery mode this attempt, and whether you were using a stock or custom firmware (and if custom, whether you downloaded it or made it yourself). That should be enough info to get a solid answer back.

If you're going to be using it unlocked, the best bet is to use PwnageTool to hacktivate -- if you've used blackra1n for hacktivation in the past you can have some pretty aggravating issues in relation to activation -- I would recommend Pwnage. If you pwn a 3.1.2 firmware, you should be good to install -- have you tried that?

Any time you get a restore error code - you need to publish the restore log before we can really help you. Details are in a link in my signature.
That said, 1611 occurs very early in the restore process. For some reason the restore failed in the preparation stage. Are you starting from pwned dfu mode?

Redsn0w and pwnagetool have the ability to put the iPhone into pwned dfu mode. They provide a wizard that steps you through the procedure.

I asked you politely for a restore log (where the restore failed) We can't help you further without this. There is a link in my signature that shows how to do this.
