I've had my iPhone 3G unlocked via blackra1n running 3.12 for about a year. My contract is up and I wish to move to tMobile but the problem is, I never ran the part of blackRa1n which unlocks it before uninstalling blackra1n. I looked around on cydia to see if there was an option to re-install the blackra1n app but no luck finding it.

So, how do I now unlock my phone? Is there a diff app on cydia that reliably takes care of this? I don't want to try and un-jailbreak my phone, and re-jail break it, this time using the unlock app before uninstalling it. Reason being, I have no idea what version of the OS iTunes will try to force me into, and I don't want to risk running into a major issue. Please help!

Also, I'm on baseband 05.11.07 on version 3.1.2 (7D11)

I just walked through a tutorial I found here with no luck. It went all the way through as if had worked, I got the whole "Enjoy your unlocked iPHone!" message and everything. I shut er down, popped in my tMobile sim card(which works in my tmobile phone), booted up, and it said "No Service" in the top left.

Ok. I'm seeing tutorials online which include hooking the iPhone up to iTunes, doing a restore, and re-jailbreaking/Unlocking via Blackra1n and blacksn0w. If I were to decide to take this route, Would iTunes restore it to 3.12 or would it restore it to the newest updated firmware that my iTunes might have picked up at some point? Also, would it affect my baseband or anything else? Lemme know.

Problem solved!

I tried the SIM card of a co-worker who was on T-Mobile & Using an unlocked iPHone. We threw in the SIM, turned off 3G, turned on Roaming, And then I entered in some URL into one of the settings. Sure as hell the tMobile & service indicators popped up and I was able to make a phone call.
