GeoHot Picture Then Reboot (New Problem)
My iPhone 3gs (bought after september) 16g is having a recovery loop. I had the tethered jailbreak with blackra1n that WORKED perfectly until I installed some applications (installous). I rebooted, and I come up with the recovery + i tunes logo which was normal at the time
I run blackrain, and geohot's picture comes up, (normal so far) and then when it says --done, wait for reboot --on the blackrain application on my computer, the picture stays there for a bit (about a minute) than reboots the iphone and goes back to the recovery mode screen. I've tried rebooting it, restarting my computer, re jailbreaking it, I also tried iRecovery but for some reason the exe just doesn't work for me.
It's a never ending cycle, is there anyway you guys would know a solution for this?
(I would restore but due to the new update 3.1.3 I can't without waiting for another leak for it to be jailbroken again).
I have tried running blackra1n over and over, and also the hard reset +holding home button, so please don't flame.
Iphone seems to be restarting by itself also.
I've searched on the forums and google but if I missed a thread that shows a solution to this, please post a link!

Discussion of piracy is not allowed on this forum. The program that caused your problem was a program intended only for piracy.
Without a SHSH for 3.1.2 you have no option but to restore to 3.1.3 and lose unlock + jailbreak. That's the price you pay for piracy.

Funny how you are making such bold statement. Especially on a forum that is not precisely the measure of moral integrity, when the topics of the day are how to "hack" the firmware that apple clearly states that not giving the intended use for their software violates their eula. If it was legal or "allowed" there would not be a need for the dev team or this forum or your moderation of the forum. SO PLEASE don't be a hypocrite... you have appolous installed just as the poster or all others who have cydia and jailbroken iphones..

I'm stuck in the same reboot cycle after I tried to reset network settings after my wifi went dead. Latest bootrom with tethered jailbreak.
Does anyone know if they hand out replacement 3Gs with 3.1.3 now or are these more likely still on 3.1.2?

Cydia "made my life easier" (aka. saving my SHSH hashes), but I did not back them up before restoring to the official 3.1.3. Is there any chance the data saved by Cydia ist in some backup iTunes made or aaaanywhere else?

I am not sure I understand your question.
You can use the cydia "make my life easier" or you can use firmware umbrella (which gives you a local backup of your SHSH and does not require jailbreak)
Itunes 8.2.x deletes the SHSH files as soon as it no longer needs them. They can be grabbed in that short time by searching for per####.tmp folder
This was discussed in an old thread. Get your 3GS iBSS certificate for possible jailbreak
If you have this per####.tmp folder you can reconstruct a SHSH from that.
Apple changed iTunes so it stopped creating these temporary files/folders in I think iTunes 9.0
None of this helps if you now suddenly realise you need your SHSH - see Apple Stopped signing 3.1.2 today Now all you can get is 3.1.3 SHSH which will be useful for a future 3.2 or 4.0 jailbreak.
