Default Few problems after blackra1n jailbreak on 3gs factory unlocked

So my brother got the new 3GS factory unlocked from hong kong which has the new bootrom, i had no other choice but to use blackrain, the problems i have are the mms and push notifications do not work. I have put the same settings that i have on my factory unlocked and work fine, but on his phone they do not work at all. Also his push notifications do not work as well, i downloaded the push fix from cydia from the repo beyouriphone. But no luck, anyone help thanks

I don't understand how a factory unlocked iPhone must have a jailbreak at all?

A true factory unlocked iPhone will work with any SIM card.

You only need to jailbreak then if you want to utilise apps that aren't allowed in the appstore.

Your brother should restore his 3GS via DFU mode, then set the iPhone up as new and see if the problems with push notifications go away.

Generally MMS problems require that you install a custom ipcc Carrier Bundle Generator iPhone OS 3.0 - 3.1.2 (ipcc) if you are not using a carrier that is officially supported with the iPhone.

well we all love jailbroken iphones, you know that. For the apps and tweaks and what not that are not found in app store.

I have the same iphone too but mine is with the old bootrom so i have no problems with anything, his is with the new bootrom so im guessing blackrain caused some problems with push.

Also about the mms i just had to put t-mobile settings in and mine worked fine, i did the same for him but not working for him.
