Default Cant Restore my iPhone to 4.1. now stuck in recovery mode

I have an iPhone 3GS with firmware 3.1.2 and 05.11.07-6.4_M3S2 baseband. My cydia button disappeared so i decided to run blackrain to get it back. This just put my phone into the recovery mode and I cant kick it out. I tried tinyumbrella but it doesnt work.

So i decided to upgrade my phone to 3.1.3 or 4.1. and both result in the error 1600, 1604, and 21. I tried the DFU and recovery mode. Neither of them work. I dont know what to do now. I would like to install OS 4.1 and jailbreak it. Is there anyway to restore it officially and then jailbreak it?

    Thanks for your help!

I had something similar happen. If you are on a Mac, try this. Create a new user on you Mac and login to that account. Fire up ITunes and then plug up your iPhone in restore mode. You should be able to restore it at this point and then jailbreak it again.

From your errors, you are mixing custom IPSW with the wrong restore modes.

For 4.1 custom IPSW you need to be in "pwned dfu mode" to restore this kind of ipsw
    see http://www.hackint0sh.org/f206/183546.htm for more details

For 3.1.3 you need to be in recovery mode to restore custom IPSW and also you need to have an old bootrom 3GS.

As always, error codes only give a vauge clue to the error, publish the restore log on a pastesite as per the instructions here http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/130802.htm

As I said, that solution was only if you were trying to restore to pwnagetool custom IPSW.

I need to see your restore logs and you need to actually explain in detail what you have tried and the steps you have taken.

There are various "loops" and few of these are actually recovery mode. Most are normal boot that fails/hangs for some reason and then the watchdog process reboots the iPhone.

For example, phone starts up, apple logo for a period of time 45 seconds, a few minutes (depending on what is wrong) then the iPhone reboots and process starts again.

    Recovery mode looks like this

This following image is NOT recovery mode:
this means you need to reactivate your iPhone in iTunes before you can use it.

You have given nearly zero details and that makes it hard for me to diagnose. I have asked you more than once to publish your restore log file and also to explain more clearly what state the iPhone currently in.

If you don't explain more, we can't help you.

    Hey,
sorry I didnt see that post where u asked for more details. How can I give u those details (restore log)? It looks like my phone is in the recovery mode tho, I cant see anything about the carrier. However, it starts all over new every couple of minutes.
