your phone should be activated first because blackra1n will not hacktivate. it only jailbreaks your phone. It also does not offer any unlock.

Guys, i have a problem here. When i jailbroke my phone i installed cydia, icy and rock. Cydia is saying that icy is giving a problem to cydia and i should uninstall it and then reinstall. But how do i uninstall icy? Because of icy i can not update cydia apps, or use cydia fully. thanks in advance.

the jailbreak worked fine, but my wifi isn't working anymore, it rarely connects and i'm right in front of my router, it will show 1 bar for wifi, but the internet wont work, mail wont work.

i just upgraded from 3.0 to 3.1.2 then jailbroken it again.

try hard resetting your iphone by holding home and power buttons.

So does anyone know how to delete icy from my phone?

I just got my brand new 16gb 3GS iphone today, 3.1.2 out of box.
I have downloaded and run blackra1n.
It seems to run with no problems and installs cydia.

But then when I reboot my phone it goes back into restore mode

Help, what can I do?

Might try pwnage tool on the mac and see if that works?

This is because you have a model that is only possible to have a tethered jailbreak. You need to run blackra1n every time after you reboot your phone.

Apple started shipping updated 3Gs and 8GB iPod Touch models that can't at the moment be jailbroken in a way that allows them to restart without being connected to a computer afterwards.
