3gs_3.1 unlock

hi
3gs 3.1 unlock with blackrain, mobile working good but connected itunes only summary is showing no video audio applications option . can i restore 3.1_custom_restore ? can i upgrade to 3.1.2 with custom_restore file? if not please give me solution .

What bootrom do you have old or new?

Each time you restart your 3GS now it is jailbroken, do you need to re-run blackra1n after each reboot? That means you have the new bootrom.

If you have the old bootrom you can restore a custom ipsw.

If you only have summary tab, this could be a misconfiguration of iTunes or maybe a problem with hacktivation.

this is old boot rom.
can i restore custorme_restore with 3.1 or 3.1.2 ? both versions custom restore file I have. what i am afraiding is if restore custom_restore file goes any wrong then there is no any alternative to restore original FW below 3.1.3.

Are you on mac or windows?
Try the following command (quit iTunes first)

Mac:

Code:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes StoreGeniusMode -boolean NO

Windows:

Code:

"%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt StoreGeniusMode 0

You should have no problem restoring custom IPSW.

I am using windows xp2
Sorry for again my doubt , how to set “set PrefInt Store Genius Mode 0 “ shall I turn off Genius mode in Itune options? If not correct please guide me step by step.

Go to command line (click start, run, and type cmd and hit enter).
Now type in:

cd \Program Files\itunes (hit enter)
iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt StoreGeniusMode 0 (hit enter)

Now connect phone to computer, run itunes, shift-click restore and select custom firmware you want to restore to the phone
