yea, I know you have an ATI card. But I think there are subtle differences in the 9800 and the pre-9800. Never mind about the nV (nVidia) comments. I had a brain fart.

Try copying over the AppleNDRV folder (it contains ATI kexts) over from your old install to 10.4.10. That solved my problem.

Hi, Just wanted to clarify one thing, you need to boot without the -legacy switch for 4gb ram, right?

My installation has -legacy in bootlist by default, I didn't put it there, I am running Ass P5B with C2D E6300, so is the -legacy switch necessary/recommended? If I remove it presumable I will boot in 64bit mode and can address 4gb, Can anyone clarify this? Thanks.

I dont know how '-legacy' got in your boot.plist. I've checked the iso and none of the boot.plist included (only two, original and patched with '-v') has '-legacy' on it....

blackchungo, with the 'green demon' being out of action now, do you have any plans of alternative release sites?

The tracker seems to be back up but I can't get into the main site. Rumors flew wildly as to WHY it went down, but I haven't seen anything really concrete . . . I'm hoping it was hardware failure that they are fixing as most of the latest rumors say, and not the first round, which was that it was taken down by the Canadian arm of the RIAA

I'll upload it somewhere else tomorrow. probably in the bay.
I hope demonoid gets back on line.....
The mininova torrents uses the demonoid tracker, so if the tracker is up those will work.

EDIT: The demonoid tracker is working. You can use the torrent files from mininova.

    EDIT2:
I've upload the original unpatched image and the PPF1 patch in the BAY. Since some people had problems partitioning/formating their HDs the PPF1 torrent also includes a How-To-Prepare-Your-HD PDF guide.

Someone has also uploaded an already patched image there. Be aware that if I relase new PPFs you will need the unpatched image (or un-patch a patched one) for patching

    search 'hackintosh' for the image.
once you get to that click on my user name and you'll see the PPF torrent.

Working perfectly here with Intel GUX 915.

the 8.10.x kernels dont include the SSE3>SSE2 emulator. You would have to wait until Apple relase the source code, and pray for the devs to compile a SSE2 capable kernel...

I dont know if the kaly's kernel support SSE2 though. I dont think so but I could be wrong....
